Young Parents as Teachers
Parents as Teachers also serves pregnant and parenting teens living in Lamar County. Teen parents face challenges that are unique and difficult. We are here to help guide, educate, and empower young moms to be the best they can be for themselves and for their babies. We help teen parents finish school, connect them with resources to help with childcare, and educate parents in early childhood best practices. Our goals are drop-out prevention, increased school readiness among children, and fostering strong loving relationships among parents and children.
