    Sumrall FFA students Karli Stringer, Kaliegh Jordan and Alexis Thexton win prepared public speaking, FFA creed speaking and extemporanous public speaking at the Pearl River FFA federation platform events.  Maggie Munn, Emily Clement, Kollyn Ford, Bre Ulmer, Trenton Williamson, Hunter Broome and Terry Davis place second in the FFA opening and closing ceremony. All qualified for the South District Championships in March at Jones County Junior College.

    Congratulations to the cheerleaders on their tremendous performance Saturday at the MHSAA state cheerleader competition. The team finished 3rd out of 16 teams.

    It’s not too early to sign up for the February ACT.  The deadline for registration is January 9.  If you need help registering for the ACT or need further information then stop by the Career Center and see Mrs Pierce.  Remember that the ACT can be taken by all high school students, not just juniors and seniors.  Freshmen and Sophomore students interested in taking the test please stop by the Career Center for more information.
