  • The SHS Archery team competed at the state archery tournament on Tuesday, the team scored a 3125 which is a school record. Karli Stringer scored a 279, also a school record, Tyler Speagle and Kyle Sones both scored a 260.


    Athletes, the Neff representative will be on campus Friday, April 24th for the letterman jacket fitting and for ordering patches.  Please see the price list posted on Coach Anita’s office door if you did not receive a letter with this information.  Remember, if you are planning to make an order that day, you MUST bring the payment with you.  

    Congratulations to Tyler Aultman, Lavandor Brown, Allison Russell, and Tyler Speagle for competing in the 33rd Annual Congressional Art Competition. Their artworks are currently on display with other entries at the Brownstone Center at Pearl River Community College, and next Monday Representative Steven Palazzo will name the one piece that will represent our 4th District of Mississippi. The artwork chosen will hang in the Capitol in Washington, DC, for an entire year, so good luck to our Sumrall art students. You continue to make us proud!

    SGA will be hosting a dodge ball tournament on 
    Sunday, April 19th from 2-4 pm in the high school gym. Teams will be made up of six players (SHS students and/or faculty members). The cost per team is $30. Participation forms can be picked up in the Attendance office.
    If you would like to purchase a snow cone from Kona Ice  on April 20th (This for students and adults) Mrs. Terri and Mrs. Stephanie will be out at break on April 14th, 15th, and 16th to take your $2.00 and put your name on the list. On , Monday, April 20th you will pick up and arm band in the career center. Also you will be able to wear jeans with the purchase of an arm band.
    Hey Everyone…. Our Relay For Life team now has their team tshirt on sale.  It is a black t-shirt with the mad hatter on the back.  You may see the design by the counselors office and pick up an order form there also.  The cost of the shirt is $15 and if you purchase that t-shirt you will be able to wear it untucked on May 1 with blue jeans.  Orders must be turned in by April 21 to Mrs. Husted or Mrs Carol Moree.
    There will be a diamond girls meeting every Tuesday in Mrs. Berry’s room at break.

    After school tutoring is still in progress until April 30. After school tutoring is NOT over.
    Colorguard will have training and auditions the week of May 4-May 8. They will meet after school till 5:30 in the band hall.   If you are interested see Mr. Garner for more information.
    Choir auditions will be held Monday, April 27 and Tuesday, April 28.  These audition dates are for Show Choir and Concert Choir.  Please see Mr. Coulter to pick up a packet. These packets are due Thursday, April 23rd.
    Students , Remember  all notes should be presented to the office within two school days of the absence or the absence will be considered unexcused.
