  • Cross Country Boys Roster: Noah Pierce, Nathan Brown, Jakob Howell, Liam Munn, Dakota Ball, Trevor Graham, Will Arnold, Oleg Mills, Brett Valentine. 2014 Girls Cross Country Team:  Kayla Munn, Tianne Moore, Keagan Pierce, Ylva Aayard, Bailey Pavis, Taylor Ready, Malia Zortman, Erin Laird, Christen Williamson, Kylie Broome.   Boys and girls cross country practice will be Thursday at 3:20 at the trace.

     Stop by the Career Center and purchase a Heart for the American Heart Association.  The cost is $1 per heart.  See Mrs. Pierce.
     Students wishing to join or renew membership in the SHS Beta Club may pick up and return applications outside Mrs Flowers’ door. Applications are due no later than 3 pm August 29, 2014. Mrs Flowers’ room is located at the end of A building.
    Any 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student interested in taking the PSAT exam must sign up and bring $15 to the Career Center to Mrs. Terri Pierce by September 1, 2014.  Come on JUNIORS, this test is given so students can qualify for scholarship money, including full, four year scholarships, if their PSAT scores are high enough. The feedback students receive after taking the test helps them identify their strengths and weaknesses, so they can use the information to improve academically. They can also learn more about colleges and universities they're interested in.  It also gives you a chance to enter National Merit Scholarship Corporation scholarship programs and gain access to college and career planning tools.

    Sumrall High School is participating in the TACKLE HUNGER Food Challenge campaign in association with the Edwards Street Fellowship Center in order to help provide nonperishable food for the hungry and food insecure in ten Pine Belt counties. Each week one high school game will be featured as the TACKLE HUNGER Game of the Week on WDAM-TV. Sumrall High School's challenge game is Friday, September 5th at Purvis.

    Please help us TACKLE HUNGER in the Pine Belt by participating with us in this challenge! Donation boxes are set up in A building and the History Building.


    Let’s Brighten those bleachers at the Volleyball games!  Purchase your “Block Party” tshirt from a volleyball player or Coach Nightingale or Kim Blount.
    New parking permits must be purchased this year.  The form for this may be downloaded by clicking on this link -  Parking permit 2014 .  The cost will be $10.00 and needs to be turned in to Mrs. Bonita Cooper.
