  • The SHS Beauty Review is tonight, January 30 at 6:00 pm. and the cost of admission is $5.00. Come out and support the beautiful young women.

    All tennis players must turn in order forms and fees by today, January 30th.

    Attention Seniors:  The yearbook staff needs a casual picture for the yearbook.  Please begin submitting these casual pictures  ASAP.  Deadline February 1


    The high school Beta Club is sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, February 5th, from 8:00 to 2:00. Tshirt this time has a mardi gras theme. United Blood Services is in critical need of both positive and negative blood types. To donate you should be 17 years old, in good health, and weigh at least 110 pounds. Seniors who donate twice this school year will receive a pin for your graduation stole. See Mrs. Loftus between classes if you have any questions. Sign up sheet is at the attendance office.

    Students are now able to purchase a Valentine Cupcake to be given to the student/ students of their choosing on Friday, February 13th. Cupcakes will be $1 and can be purchased from Ms Terri in the Career Center. Deadline for ordering is Friday, Jan  30th.

    Beta Club Students interested in attending a trip to the World War 2 Museum in New  Orleans, LA on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 should pick up a permission form from outside Mrs. Flowers door. All permission forms and money should be turned into Mrs. Flowers by Monday, February 9, 2015.  *IF YOU INTEND TO GO PLEASE GO AHEAD AND SIGN UP FOR YOUR LUNCH SELECTION OUTSIDE MRS. FLOWERS DOOR TODAY SO THAT SHE CAN GET AN APPROXIMATE COUNT.

    Attention Seniors…….There is a new scholarship opportunity available in the career center.  It is offered from the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency.  You must write an essay, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, be accepted by or have intentions of fall 2015 enrollment in either a Junior College or University in the state of Mississippi and two letters of recommendation.  Applications are available in the Career Center.

    Attention Juniors: Your junior dues of $80 must be turned in by Feb 15th, Junior Dues can be turned in to John Jacob Miller, Hunter Askew, Cammie Moree or at LA’S Salon and Boutique.


    “Home is where the heart is”  will be this years theme for the American Heart Association Wear Red Day which will be on February 13. .  T-shirts orders will be taken until February 1st.  The design and order forms are located in the Career Center.  If you purchase a t-shirt you will be allowed to wear jeans on February 13.  Adult and youth sizes are available as well as long sleeve or short sleeve shirts.  Prices start at $15.


    Students , Remember  all notes should be presented to the office within two school days of the absence or the absence will be considered unexcused.

    Printable resources are available online at http://parcc.pearson.com/tutorial/ for high school students taking the Math and English Language Arts paper-based and online assessments.  These tutorials provide a sample answer document, sample items, and tips for completing multiple-select, multiple choice items. Resources/Tutorials are located at the bottom of the screen.


    All checkout notes are to be turned in by 8:30 to the attendance office, emails are not accepted.

    Students:  If you purchase an item from the second chance breakfast during break,  your lunch account is charged at regular price even if you receive free or reduced lunches.

    Due to buses being filled to capacity, students will only be allowed to ride their normally assigned bus until further notice.

    Students:  Check out your ICAP in Active Student.  It shows you the courses you've taken and need to take in an easy to read colorful format.  Parents you may also see your students ICAP in Active Parent.  If you do not have an ICAP please see Mrs. Terri Pierce or Mrs. Carol Moree.  Below is an example of an ICAP in Active Student.
